I didn't realise that Tango Town was a play-on-kanji when I was a member. Tango Town offers you a subscription service of Japanese education straight to your keitai for any one on a Japanese network.
I think I paid 300 yen a month for 5 "lessons" a week.
You can choose your level of lessons, type of lesson (rude words! they teach rude words!), and whether you want kanji, kana, or roomaji (and even what type of roomaji). They also have web-access quizes, dictionary and other useful tools (such as email translation).
It's really cool, and I'd recomend it to any gaijin living in Japan out there. Even if you hate Japanese language, you gotta admit learning how to be crass and rude for shits and giggles is probably worth the meagre subscription fee.
